Over the weekend Lennon discovered the joy of sharing with his brother and not depriving him of everythingheowns. It was a huge moment when he offered up his muscles Spiderman costume to Larry. Like he's finally in the club.
Attended a church party at the park where Larry refused to eat:
1. Tacos
2. Chips
3. Fruit of any kind
4. Salad (he had his choice of Asian, Mexican and Italian)
But we later caught him on someone else's picnic blanket devouring their cupcakes. That means more than one and yes we took a picture before we stopped him. The kid has to eat somehow.
And finally...
I'd like to take this opportunity to publicly express my fear of dirt bikes and everything related. Tod has had a dirt bike for years and every time he rides I watch the clock, wondering when my phone will ring telling me to come to the hospital. I realize he loves it and I want him to enjoy his life but there is a fine line between enjoying life and ending it prematurely.
So on Friday his buddy Aaron agreed to help Tod replace his back tire. They went to Aaron's shop around 11 pm and fixed up his bike just right. Tod test drove it first then Aaron took a turn. He was in a dark alley with no helmet or gear on and rode that bike through all four gears then tried stopping around 60 mph...but instead of braking the bike slid and Aaron crashed. Bad. I knew it was bad when my phone rang at midnight and Tod calmly informed me everyone was fine but he was taking Aaron to the E.R.
The E.R.?
Tod doesn't think anyone ever really needs medical assistance. Asthma attack? Take some deep breaths. Allergic reaction? Walk it off. Giving birth? People do it everyday (direct quote but I am NOT getting into that tonight). So for him to take his buddy to the E.R. meant things were bad.
The good news is Aaron is okay. But he could've been hurt pretty badly or even killed. This incident led me back to my pleading with Tod: ISN'T THERE ANOTHER ACTIVITY FOR YOU?
His other hobby is scuba diving and he's taking a dive trip in October. Good news: A great white was recently spotted just off the coast of Long Beach. I think we're going to be just fine.

I don't think this guy has heard the saying: "You bettah check yo'self befo' you wreck yo'self" cause it looks like he wrecked something.
Obviously, no, he has not heard that saying. Could've saved him a lot of pain.
Ask Todd how he's gonna "walk it off" when his legs get bit off by a shark...
Tiffany, excellent question. I'll be sure to ask him.
cam wants a motorcycle. I'm not as nice as you.
I made my husband and all my children vow to never get on a motorcylcle EVER after we saw a guy, who was wearing a helmet, dead in the road after getting hit by a truck. I think they were all traumatized enough that they didn't argue. Glad everyone is ok. Try and keep it that way.
I wouldn't let Tod have a motorcycle either. At least on dirtbikes they're usually (except in this case) on the dirt. And it's like two hours once a month. So the odds aren't bad but I'd prefer him entering chess tournaments like my dad did instead...
